My name is Jeff MacKinnon and I come to Spokane, WA, via Nova Scotia, Canada. I am a registered Professional Engineer with both Engineers Nova Scotia and APEGGA.
I am currently working as a power engineer with H2E Inc located in Liberty Lake, Wa doing projects on various industrial sites in the North West United States and abroad. My interests lie with Arc Flash, electrical safety, MV and HV distribution systems, protection coordination and have been involved with Wind Power projects in Nova Scotia
My involvement with the IEEE began as a Student Member of the Dalhousie Student Branch. From there I graduated to the Executive Committee of the Canadian Atlantic Section and have performed various roles including: Vice-Chair, Secretary, Membership Chair, Publications Chair, Newsletter Editor, and Co-Chair of the joint PES/IAS Chapter.
Currently, I am serving as Vice-Chair of the Spokane Section and am looking forward to talking with you at our next technical meeting, or social event. Feel free to tap me on the shoulder and say hi.
